Ohhhh my !!

Well it looks like kind of weird to me I should say, and that is one of the reason I really do not like ASOS, as the clothes there tends to be just well... too much !
Seriously are you going to buy this ? For Chritmas Eve or New Year's Eve ?
Well I am afraid the cut is not so flattering no seems to be the colour or the babric.
What the hell are they thinking at Asos I wonder ? As I wrote on one of your previous post, I never ever found any item that would take my fancy to buy AND wear at Asos.
With some friends recently we were wondering which range was good for us women say, above 30 (yeah no comment please ), work appropriate (but not only), good fit AND quality, not too much on the pricey side but definitely not cheap, not classical but sensible, not "rock" but with some bold colours...
We were looking for french brands or international and... nothing. Either in shops or online.
I mean I do like for instance Filipa K or Bruun's Bazaar but really difficult to find in France and.. so dull. Black and grey everywhere.
But for God's sake where are the colours of the nature !!
Zara is quite expensive for the quality (generally speaking), H&M well not enough quality (despite I still have very good H&M clothes I bought some 10 years ago and are still in good shape, one as to keep looking).
Gerard Darel (french brand) well they are quite pricey and not fit for petites.
Forever 21, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins well not really appropriate for work (or some) and quality I am not sure.
So it seems that between H&M and, say, Ralph Lauren or Filipa K, there is nothing, a huge gap for "middle range" clothes for more mature women (I did not write old women).
I do not understand the point as I am sure there is some room for affordable-good quality clothes for women.
It can really be twice a challenge for me to fid proper clothes : as a petite and as "grown" women.
So that is mostly why I tend to buy more and more through Ebay US as there are more petite brands and style are more similar to what I am looking for.
But fortunately there are some few french brands that can still offer the kind of items I need and like. And they have outlets but still it is expensive.
For example, I paid 120 euros for a all wool black dress that I had to altered (shorten and sides taken) but it has a classical styling, it fits at the waist and hips (I have small waist and curvy hips and bottom)and I know I am going to keep for several years.
So it is quite a dilemma for me.
Do you have those issues as well ? You are younger than I am and more casual so you might not have problems to get the clothes you like (apart from the huge size problem one).
Sorry for the long post, I have flooded your blog.

No, I'm not going to buy the dress 'cause I'm too pale. Besides I don't know when I should wear it.

Trust me, I know what it feels like to be 30+ , petite and looking for nice clothes. It's almost an impossible task. Actually I tought it was easier in the southern parts of Europe since women there, in my opinion, dress more feminine and ladylike than us dull swedes.

The stores here are either focused on teenagers or grandmothers. I hate dark cloths and would love to find nice outfits in red, green, pink, yellow and orange etc, but that's really difficult.

Alas nothing is really easier in France ; might be though in Spain and Italy but I can't swear it.
That is the reason why I tend to shop more in the US and go on the more pricey (at least for me) range.
Best solution would be ... to sew one own's clothes but well so far I am not ready to sew the entire garment although I do know altering, mending hemming and creating cuffs.
But draw my clothes irrkkk no !
Today was a very gloomy day for us : rain all day, dark early and wind.
Fortunately I had some ..altering to do and my BF (for once) to tease.
Was Commemoration day here (WW1).
Was wearing (er still do): Levis good old 501 jeans, long sleeves stripped tee whith bright colours (orange, pink, red)size 12 years, grey cotton deep v neck sweater with sequins in the back AND a warm fleece sweater very ugly but warm. Once again children size.

If I had 100 million dollars I would hire a dressmaker who could sew the clothes I want after my measurments. Then I wouldn't have this problem with clothes anymore.

We have a little bit of snow in Stockholm today.

By the way, you write a lot of good things here. You should start blogging!
